I guess I'm Thankful or whatever.

As you know, this Sunday will be Fast and Testimony Sunday (if you don't know what that is, I know these two guys that come over and tell you ALL about it) Anyway, last night while I was doing the dishes...by hand since I am the 'dishwasher' (well except for that one time when Hubs did the dishes)...I was thinking about how ungrateful and unthankful I am right now since it's that 'special' time of the month when I get to find out I'm totally and completely NOT pregnant (again)...and I was feeling down (again). But then I got to thinking about it more and I was actually thankful there's no JB jrs around here, cuz then I'd REALLY be doing some serious dishes! So I guess I'm thankful for that. Oh and I'm thankful for the cookie dough hidden in the back of the fridge. There are some other things, but I don't wanna get all mushy on account of I'd drive one of you away . And furthermore I'm not in the mood for mushy anyway! I could go for some Fro-Yo though. (I am WAY thankful for all the comments on the last post..I guess I hit a nerve or something.)

Birth of the Bloggernacle

Ya'll need to read this article :
http://www.religiondispatches.org/archive/mediaculture/1148/birth_of_the_bloggernacle/
It's great..and it has some great links to some really funny Blogs. I hope it inspires some of you Non-Blog Owners. Or as I like to call you NBO's, to want to start your own Blog. You know who you are...Mom, Nikki, Marilyn and yes, even you Nicole Benson!!! Yup that's right, I just called you out! Whatcha gonna do about it?!

Okay..whateves, right? I guess if you don't have (or want) your own Blog, the least you could do is comment on other pep's Blogs.. namely MINE! I know, I know I ask for comments ALL the time, I would beg, borrow and steal if my hubs didn't keep me so darn honest. I thought I was just being a NB (needy Blogger as above mentioned NB calls me)
Then recently I read my own thoughts on someone else's Blog...She was seriously channeling me...She said :
If You Choose Not to Comment...
...that's fine - just be aware that I may die. Really. Because every person who reads without commenting kills off another little piece of my SOUL. I just wanted you to know. So you can, you know, have a clear conscience at my funeral. Which might be soon. No pressure though.

She totally gets it! I guess I'm not the only NB out there...AWESOME! (click on her comment, it's linked to her blog)

The RedBull

The RedBull's up and running!! New muffler, battery, registration etc...Now that she's street legal, Jon was itching to take her out. So Thursday Jon took us out on the road looking for some mud. I spied a dirt road and off we went... We found this big open field hidden behind a ton of trees, with this sort of racetrack of sorts. Or maybe more like a playground for big-boys and their big-toys. Well, Jon drove us around and around this track, up a super steep hill, over a little plateau, down the other side where it becomes a muddy bog...and around and around and around.

It's about 2 miles around I guess, but when you're holding your breath and the seat and any handle you can find and your Hubs is driving like a maniac with a huge Smile across his face, it seems like a 1/2 mile instead! At one point, as we were flying through the mud, we started skidding sideways, my hand was going numb from holding on...and I swear I saw the ground coming up to meet my side window...Jon said we never tipped up on two wheels, but I swear we did and I almost peed myself!
So the next day, we went on a different trail. Jon's buddy from work took us out to this really great one. Oh the Mud!

We got pretty far back before we found the mud and when we did, Jon thought it was Christmas! The Men got out to scout out some really deep tracks in the road and I stayed in the car and Prayed. Jon's buddy went first, his truck is a little higher then ours, so he cleared it okay and the waves that he made were very impressive!
When it was our turn, Jon floored it and we rocketed ahead, right into the middle of this mess...
(It's a LOT deeper then it looks!)
Halfway through the mess a huge wave cascaded over us, I think I screamed (at least I did in my head) and the RedBull gave a shuddering gasp and died. Jon turned the wipers on, so we could see through the windshield and dang the smoke! We were stuck! (the wiring was really old and needed replacing..and ought not to have gotten wet) So Jon kept trying to start it and I kept praying...mostly that I wouldn't have to get out in the middle of the puddle! We sat there like that for a little bit until Jon's friend came hauling back around to see where we were. He and his Mighty Max pulled us up out of the mud and then He and Jon looked under the hood...and dang the mud! Everything was covered!
Eventually they wiped it off enough to start it up and the guy says "Alright you ready to keep going? The other ones are just a little deeper then this one..ready?!" Jon said "NO!!" (thank goodness, My heart and bladder couldn't take much more of that!)

And you would think that would be the end of it right? Wrong! Jon told his buddy to follow us back to the Trail by our house... Then it was on. The fun that guys can have in mud is just amazing! By the end of the day, Jon had Blown out the back of his new muffler and his buddy had almost rolled his Mighty Max... After he slammed back down on all four tires, he got out (I think he made the sign of the cross across his chest) and called it quits.

Western Bacon Cheeseburger Please!

So this morning I woke up wanting a Western Bacon Cheeseburger...But alas we have no Carl's Jr. in North Carolina. We have Hardee's and yes, it's I guess the same restaurant, but not really, since they don't #1 have WBCheeseburgers and #2 Don't have Onion Rings (I know right?! CRAZY) They do have the yummy B-B-Que sauce though. Today out of necessity, I had to go to Burger King. Since they're the ones with the Onion rings.

Their onion rings are okay, but they are NOT in the same category as Carl's Jr's!

Whopper with only Cheese and Bacon...Add some Rings and B-B-Que...

Yummy!

It turned out pretty good. Definitely NOT the same, but good enough! Next Time I'll get the Rings from Sonic and the burger from Hardee's and try it that way. (I know you're gonna be on pins waiting to know how it'll turn out! )

And for his day off, Jon went RIDING!

Facebook

So I've recently succumbed to the power of Facebook. You'd be surprised just how many people are on there! And though I still think it's a little wierd, it's totally fun to see old friends, family and ward members ( more then half of Goldsboro 2nd ward is on there ) Do you think contact on Facebook counts for Visiting Teaching?!

Facebook helps you connect and share with the people in your life.

Boy it's good to be home!

We had a Great time in Las Vegas, Me Playing and Jon Working ... But it sure is good to be home! Thanks everyone for the Entertainment, Lodging, Shopping, Movies, Wii and of course for taking me to all my favorite Resturants!!! It was good to see everyone again. Hopefully we'll do it all again soon. (maybe next time Jon can have a little fun too)

Sisterhood of the Patchwork Purse

So Maury (my home girl, fellow blogger and face booker (who also thinks face book is a little weird!)) and I got together to visit tonight, she came over to my Mom's house and Erin came into the picture at one point and my Mom was there for some visiting...but they all had other things going on, so Maury and I went out. It was Big-Time going out too! I had showed her my new purse that I got, for a steal, sooo we ended up going shopping. Which lead to eating and that lead to...what else but... Fro Yo. and Yo was it tasty! We had a great time...and of course we dished and gossiped and laughed and we decided to link Blogs for this very special occasion...

Maury we'll have to get our purses back together soon!

My Best Buddy!

I got to see my best buddy Charlie today. My mom and I got together with him and Rosemonde (his mom) for a play-date at Mc Donalds...just like old times! I really miss hanging out with Charlie( AKA being his Nanny). We use to have some good times. Then Jon came along and now I'm his Nanny! (ha ha ha just kidding honey)

Here FINALLY is the Snow Day Movie!!

No need to worry...

So, there is no need to worry...(I'm probably the only one who was worried, but crisis averted!) Today, my Mom and I (two of the last Mormons alive who haven't been) went to see Twilight. FINALLY! I know what you're thinking, but my Mom and I have very busy and important lives and it's difficult to find the time to go to the movies. Okay, that's not really the reason... What really is going on is we both have really mean Husbands, that hate going to the movies... Well, hate going to see silly, vampire movies that is. Thank goodness it was still playing! And aside from the Bad make-up and Bad acting, it was a pretty good flick. You guys can now be relieved, I think as of now all Mormon women have seen the film. You'll sleep better tonight. I know I will!

Who here thinks I should add a new Post?

Leave a comment and let me know why I should, Or what you'd like to see. Cuz I gotta tell you people it doesn't seem like you care about what I am Posting! Geez people haven't you figured out the rules of this Blog...the less you comment...the less I post! Thus saith the Creator! (of this Blog)
