JTP's on Leave...

Jon's on Leave. Guess what that means...NO SHAVING!!! It also means he's Expediting here around the house instead of on the Flight line...He's got me up at 6am every day this week working...working...working. Don't let that smile fool you...He can be a serious slave driver!! That's okay, I still love him!

Out with the old...In with the new.

This week we tore down the old boards on the eves of our house and replaced it with wood siding...it looks sooo much better!

The Elders came over and helped us hang the boards on the front porch...Thank Goodness!! Those boards are super heavy!
Now we just need to paint the house! Anyone wanna come help?!

Dirty House? Clean it up!

Today we started washing the house and scrapping the eves... I think we not only washed the dirt off the house, but most of the old paint as well! Our plan is to start the chalking and painting on Saturday...More pics to follow...

Random things I've done while Jon's TDY...

I've been Working... Working... Working...
I've perfected my Chicken Fried Rice Recipe...
They serve Chicken Fried Rice at the Bowling Alley on Thursdays and Fridays. It's soo popular that it sells out, people have to call in their orders ahead of time if they want rice! It's crazy Good! I've been watching the cooks and I've gotten some helpful tricks on making it better.

I'm hoping to finally finish the Drawers to the Dresser I've been Re-Finishing...

I finally got my 'Prize' from Jamie...

Isn't it cool?! She made it out of bags and used jeans! Totally creative.

I've been watching movies that Hubs doesn't like...

And since the good TV shows are all over for the Season,

I've been reading lots of books...

And if any of that ever gets boring I can always just

Watch the Garden Grow...

It's good to be busy, cuz it's sooo quiet and boring around here without Hubs!!
