Announcement...

So, I'm sure most of you all know already, I'm going to be teaching Early Morning Seminary for the Goldsboro 2nd Ward...Wish me luck, since I'm obviously NOT a morning person!

Family Fun

We had a bit of a mini family reunion last night here at Brown Town. Jon's two Sister's were here with their Families and Cousin Taylor. After dinner Jon took the men and Owen out in the Redbull, While the women stayed home and played with the cute babies.

Red on the Head..

So for our Family Fun Night on Monday, we met up with the Morgan's and the Storm's at the Bowling Alley. On Monday nights, we do Red Pin Bowling at the Alley. Red Pin Bowling is where they put a Red Pin into the mix of pins and it randomly cycles each frame. When it sets up on the 'Head' or in the #1 position, you call 'Red on the Head' and if you get a natural Strike, you get a free game coupon....Plus games and shoes are $1.50 each (except for me, I bowl for free, just another perk of the job!)...anyway, it's a fun night to bowl!

The Morgan's...They are sooo fun to hang out with!
We ended up Bowling 3 games and by the 3rd game we got a little crazy with it and decided to do 'Wacky Bowling' Every frame was a different kind of throw. The 1st was regular, 2nd was left handed, 3rd between the legs and backward, 4th we used the ramp, 5th spin around 5X's then throw and the 6th-10th frames we repeated... Here are some of the pictures...

The Storm's...Only bowled one game..then got some Ice Cream and watched the Wacky Bowling.

The King of Pop...

Today we watched the Memorial Service for Michael Jackson (well, Jon watched part of it and I watched all of it) It was a really touching tribute.
He may have been misunderstood and maybe a little crazy, but boy did he have some serious talent!
I hope he finds the peace he was always searching for.

The Browns came to visit Brown Town...

Jon's Parents came to visit this week... Jon has kept us all busy and entertained.
On Wednesday we took a tour of Goldsboro and in the process took a tour of our awesome thrift stores, where we scored loads of cool stuff. Then ended the evening of at McCall's B-B-Que so they could try some North Carolina B-B-Que. On Thursday we went Golfing in Kinston at our favorite Par3 course. Where we had tons of fun. Came home, got the Redbull and went Off-Roading. After that we had some of Jon's Famous Smoked Ribs..and had the Elders over for the feast, where he taught them the finer points of smoking meat. And today, Jon and LG are out in the Garage fixin' some stuff...
While Mary Sue and I are exercising our brains...she's doing Sudoku...and I'm Blogging and Facebooking...

As you can see we're having a good time.

Just so you know...It's my Birthday!

AND I'M NOT SHARING!!!

JTP's on Leave...

Jon's on Leave. Guess what that means...NO SHAVING!!! It also means he's Expediting here around the house instead of on the Flight line...He's got me up at 6am every day this week working...working...working. Don't let that smile fool you...He can be a serious slave driver!! That's okay, I still love him!

Out with the old...In with the new.

This week we tore down the old boards on the eves of our house and replaced it with wood siding...it looks sooo much better!

The Elders came over and helped us hang the boards on the front porch...Thank Goodness!! Those boards are super heavy!
Now we just need to paint the house! Anyone wanna come help?!
