How I came to be in the state I'm in...

Most of you already know this story, but I thought I'd share it with the rest of the new folks.

So Jon and I have been trying to get Pregnant for about a year and a half now. It's been a challenge, because I had to get off of all of the Medication that I was taking for my Fibromyalgia and Migraines. Well, with the help of my awesome Doctor, Dr Hogarty, who got me off all of the Medicine by using Osteopathic Manipulative Treatment. So far I haven't had a flare up in over a year.

Well, after a year, I finally got a referral to go to the Infertility Doctor. They didn't have any new appointments for 4 months though, which would've put the appointment in October, when Jon would be gone. (I really wasn't sure how that was gonna work out, so I was really upset about that)

Jon left at the end of August and the next day I had to start teaching Seminary. Needless to say I was very stressed out. So when I missed my Period that week, I wasn't all that surprised. I let it go for a few days, trying not to think about. Then one morning while cleaning the bathroom, I found a box of Pregnancy tests. I thought, just for the heck of it, I'd use one. To my surprise, it came back positive. I was convinced though that it was just an old test. So I used the other test. Which also came back positive. But, coming from the same box, I figured it was old too.

That day I happened to have a Doctors appointment, with Dr.Hogarty. I told him about the tests and he told me that since the tests weren't more then a year old, they were probably accurate. Since he said there usually aren't false positives. I left the appointment, went to Wal-Mart and got another test. Obviously it was positive as well.

Two weeks or so after Jon left, I got to tell him the wonderful news. Luckily it was right after he left, so he didn't have to ask if the baby was his!

My first OBGYN appointment was Monday. That was my 10 week mark. I got to hear the Baby's heartbeat. It was definitely an awesome experience.

Anyway, the punchline of the story is this: The day of my first appointment, was the very same day I was scheduled to go to the infertility clinic. Now tell me that Heavenly Father doesn't have a sense of humor!
